This exposition examines Jesus’ passionate prohibition against despising other believers and three reasons why we are to nurture one another, namely, because of the ministry of angels, the love of the Christ, and the will of the Father. In light of Jesus’ parable of the “ninety nine and one,” special attention is given to the issue of how long we should pursue unrepentant problem people who leave the church.
