This exposition examines Peter’s proud response to Jesus’ warning to the disciples that they would deny Him. Three sinful predispositions within the human heart that tend to track in a predictable progression are considered, namely, the selective hearing of truth, the selective interpretation of truth, culminating in a settled conviction of a lie.
