This exposition examines Jesus’ healing of the blind men as yet another illustration of not only divine compassion, but also the essentials necessary for salvation, namely, desperation for mercy, recognition of Christ and submission to His Lordship. Special attention is given to the distorted gospel commonly presented in altar calls and the wide gate theology of the Purpose Driven Life phenomenon.
