Student Ministries
Ministry Purpose & Vision: Our goal is to establish (personal) connections with teens and speak to them where they live. We are absolutely convinced that the Word of God alone is sufficient for addressing all the needs of young men and women today! In today’s culture, teens are exposed to so many different opinions, perspectives, and viewpoints about right and wrong, life and death, and everything in between. However, we want our teens to fully understand concepts like Sin, Righteousness, Accountability, and their Personal Responsibility to a Holy, Loving & Gracious God. Individuals enter the CBC Student Ministry as teens and it is our hope and prayer that they leave as godly men and women committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ!
With resources from the New City Catechism, The Truth Project, etc., curriculum and personal quiet time, the teens will develop a personal relationship with the Creator and only True God and Father in Heaven! It is our hope that each person in Student Ministry will grow in spiritual maturity through lives devoted to Christ, His Word, and His church, so that their lives begin to reflect a counter-cultural alternative for their peers to see and desire.
Our deepest desire is to see each teen experience a daily, personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the study of His Word, prayer, godly relationships, and serving their God and King. (We fulfill this desire through six aspects of ministry).
Sunday Mornings: Preaching from the Word of God
On Sunday Mornings at 9:15 A.M. in the Family Life Center, we have a time of music, fellowship, and most importantly, preaching & teaching from the Word of God. Our messages focus on what the Bible has to say about life & death and everything in between.
Ministry & Service Opportunities
Through dynamic activities, we share the message of salvation and create experiences where life changes happen. Students are given the opportunity to seek God and grow in their spiritual walk.
One-on-One Discipleship
Student Ministry offers opportunities for our teens to spend time with a mature spiritual leader who can establish (individual) relationships with them. Our staff is devoted to being involved in their lives because we know that personal discipleship is the most effective tool for challenging a young man or woman to greater spiritual growth and maturity.
Activities & Camps
The CBC Student Ministry provides teens with wonderful activities within godly relationships. Each month one of the youth families volunteers to host a youth activity. These events have been influential in the lives of many students over the years, leading to a greater commitment to Christ in their personal lives and their service to His Church.
Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe. – 1 Timothy 4:12
